Days Between Dates

The calculator counts the whole days from the earlier date to the later one. Order does not matter — it sorts them for you and returns a positive number. It uses the real calendar, so leap years and different month lengths are handled automatically.

The same gap reads three ways. Total days is exact and best for deadlines and countdowns. Weeks suit planning in seven-day blocks. The calendar difference (years, months and days) is the human-friendly version — the way you would say someone's age or how long ago something happened.

This counts the days between the two dates — the difference. If you need to include both the first and last day (as some contracts and rentals do), add one to the total. Watch for this whenever a "number of nights" and a "number of days" seem to disagree by one.
