Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what data Contania processes when you use our calculators, why, and your rights under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
Who we are
Contania is a free online calculator site. We are the data controller. For any privacy matter, contact us at contato@contania.app.
What we collect
You do not need an account or personal data to use the calculators — the values you type are processed in your browser and are not sent to or stored by us, unless you choose to create an account (see the next section). We use Google Analytics to measure pages visited, device type and traffic source. Measurement starts when you arrive, before clicking the notice. Analytics cookies are enabled at that point unless this browser has a saved rejection. Choose "Essential only" to disable analytics cookies. Advertising cookies and identifiers are authorized only if you accept.
User account (optional)
If you choose to create an account (by email and password, or with Google), we process: your email; if you sign in with Google, the name and profile photo Google shares with us; the calculators you favorite; and the calculations you save (the values you entered in that calculator, plus the date). Saved calculations start out private — only you can see them — and become reachable by a link only if and when you choose to make that specific calculation public. None of this is used for advertising or shared with third parties beyond the provider necessary to run the account (our database provider, Supabase). You can delete favorites and saved calculations anytime at /conta; to delete your account entirely, email contato@contania.app.
How we use data
We use navigation data to run and improve the site. Audience measurement starts automatically. You can disable analytics cookies in the notice or through "Cookie preferences" in the footer; cookieless measurement signals may still be sent to Google. Advertising cookies require your acceptance.
Cookies
We use essential cookies (e.g., to remember your theme, cookie preference, and, if you create an account, keep you signed in). Analytics cookies start on arrival unless a rejection is saved; advertising cookies require acceptance. See our Cookie Policy for details and controls.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We may show ads via Google AdSense and partners. We use Google Consent Mode: advertising cookies, ad user data and ad personalization remain denied until acceptance. Analytics cookies start on arrival and are disabled if you choose "Essential only"; cookieless signals may still be sent. Learn more about ads at Google Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com).
Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We may share it with providers operating the site on our behalf (hosting, analytics, advertising), or when required by law. Some providers (such as Google) may process data outside Brazil with appropriate safeguards.
Your rights (LGPD)
You may request confirmation, access, correction, anonymization, portability or deletion of your data, and withdraw consent, at any time via contato@contania.app. You may also complain to the Brazilian data protection authority (ANPD).
Security and retention
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures. As we keep no accounts, the data we process is mostly aggregated and temporary, retained only as needed.
Children
The site targets a general audience and does not knowingly collect data from minors. Contact us if you believe a child provided data so we can remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always the one published here, dated at the top.
