Selling Price Calculator
Pricing is not just cost plus margin — fees and your profit target both come off the final price, not the cost. Enter your cost, target margin and any fees to get the price that actually lands your margin.

The margin divisor method
Because your margin and fees are percentages of the price, not the cost, the formula divides: price = cost ÷ (1 − (margin + fees) ÷ 100). A $100 cost with a 30% target margin comes to 100 ÷ 0.70 = $142.86 — not $130.
Why not just add the margin to cost
Adding 30% to a $100 cost gives $130, but then fees eat into it and your real margin lands below 30%. Dividing guarantees that after fees and costs, exactly your target margin is left. The gap grows as fees and margin rise.
Keep the total under 100%
Margin plus fees must be less than 100% — otherwise there is no valid price (the divisor hits zero or goes negative). This is an estimate; confirm your actual payment-processing and marketplace fees, which often run a few percent each.
